A Story Still Being Built

The South Pacific World War II Museum began with a simple idea—to recognise the vital role Espiritu Santo played during World War II.

Since then, it has grown into something far greater. What started as a local initiative now reaches across the South Pacific, bringing together stories, artefacts and history that might otherwise have been lost.

At its heart, the Museum is about preserving Vanuatu’s wartime story and honouring those who served. But it is also about building something lasting for future generations.

And that’s where you can play a part.

Join as a Friend of the Museum

One of the simplest ways to support the Museum is by becoming a Friend.

By registering your interest, you’ll receive our monthly newsletter, with updates on the Museum’s progress, new discoveries and developments as the project continues to grow.

As the Museum evolves, Friends will also receive early insights, invitations to events, and opportunities to stay closely connected with the journey.

It’s a small step—but one that helps build a strong and engaged community around the Museum.

Contribute to the Collection

Every museum is defined by the objects it preserves.

We are actively seeking items connected to the Pacific Theatre of World War II—objects that help tell the story of Santo and the wider region.

You may be a collector. You may have a family connection to someone who served in the Pacific. Or you may simply have come across an item with a story worth sharing.

Whether through donation or loan, we welcome the opportunity to discuss how these items might contribute to the Museum’s collection.

Every Contribution Matters

From staying informed to sharing objects and stories, every form of support helps bring this project to life.

The South Pacific World War II Museum is being built piece by piece—and with your involvement, its story becomes richer, deeper and more complete.
